SJC partners with Among Equals to create an exclusive mini bilum bag, available in two distinctive colour ways. While these pieces are undeniably beautiful, their significance extends far beyond aesthetic appeal.
These monochromatic petit bilums are woven in Papua New Guinea by women living in small communities along the Sepik River. Each bag requires three weeks of meticulous handwork—a testament to patience, skill, and ancestral knowledge.
All proceeds from this collaboration are being donated to build a second 'Blue Haus'—a safe sanctuary where women gather to pass down their ancient craft to younger generations, ensuring these traditions endure.
